About the AMS Website Print E-mail

The Australasian Menopause Society (AMS) introduced its new website on 7 October, 2008.

The new AMS website was developed to compliment our commitment to presenting accurate, up to date, evidence-based information to AMS members, the wider health professions and the community about women’s midlife health, all aspects of menopause, HRT and alternatives, and osteoporosis, as well as providing access to doctors interested in women's health. Our website will provide abstracts and opinions by leading experts on the latest research in menopause and healthy ageing.

Whilst we are ethically unable to answer individual medical questions, our information can be downloaded and printed by women or their doctor to better understand the transition through this stage of life.

  • Information is presented at three levels:

    Education - open access information

Health Professionals - open access plus more information to support Health Professionals

Members - restricted access includes all information available in Education or Health Professionals plus Changes and other member - specific resources.

  • A comprehensive search function is available for the website that is automatically updated as new articles are added.

  • The Site Map is also automatically updated as new articles are added.

Accreditation

This website adheres to the HON (Health on the Net) principles. See Accreditation

Date of Information

The health information that appears on AMS website is reviewed and revised regularly.

Two distinct dates appear at the foot of each page to assist visitors. These are as follows:

  • the Content Updated day, month and year shows which shows when the information was reviewed last. This date is manually applied to the page.
  • the Last Updated day, month and year is when the page was accessed by the website management for any other reason such as checking validity of links, correcting any typographical errors or changing page layouts. This date is automatically applied to a page.
