Menopause Monologues

Menopause Monologues is an information resource kit for women.

In light of recent media and medical community focus on menopause and hormone replacement therapy, a need existed to educate women about menopause, its symptoms and treatment options.

As such, the Australasian Menopause Society developed Menopause Monologues, to provide balanced information about menopause for women and their doctors. Members of the AMS Education Sub-Committee and the AMS Executive were involved with workshopping the content of the information presented.

Hormone Replacement Therapy - NHMRC

National Health and Medical Research Foundation have produced a booklet (http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/publications/synopses/wh35syn.htm) for women seeking advice on the use of HRT.  The booklet which is currently under review   gives an overview of menopause and presents in "plain English" much of the information contained in the document for health professionals. The overall aim of the booklet is to give women the up-to-date information they need to make an informed choice as to whether or not to use HRT in their individual situation.
